The future of corporate communication
Voice over IP unites what belongs together!
Uneconomical separation of parallel existing infrastructures.
For historical reasons, there are two communication infrastructures existing in parallel in most companies. On the one hand there is the data communication and the traditional telephone installations with a large number of subsidiary instruments on the other hand. This separation is, however, extremely uneconomical, because each communication system requires its own individual network technology. This results in a huge expense on maintenance, upkeep and security of the know-how-standards (training). Besides, this segregation gets in the way of speedy development of new applications, since the two systems are based on different technologies. Traditional telephone units are based on proprietary system solutions from the respective provider. Only the manufacturer is normally in a position to create extensions, or even make changes to the simplest of applications, or expand them (such as music during intervals or pauses).
