The prepared media is maintained within the content management solution. The arranged campaigns are transferred to the player pc in order that the player can display the contents according to the inputs.

Different local incidents and communication requirements put respective demands on display technologies. Nowadays the choice of products is comprehensive: Besides flat, large sized displays with plasma or TFT technology LCD displays for surroundings with high light intensity (e.g. exteriors) are on the hand.

Also front or back projectors can be deployed, but they are usually very light-sensitive.

The functionality of content management is reasoned as a continuous workflow and easy to understand: The produced media (pictures, audio files, animations, movies etc.) are uploaded at the media database and can be used from this point in time onwards. The media is composed in individual campaigns to loops and assigned to the designated displays. If content should be displayed just in definite timeframes comprehensive timing functions are at disposal.

screenFOOD SA (stand-alone)

Be it in the area of the reception or within a smaller display network – with screenFOOD SA an easy to handle tool for communication by use of POI is on hand. The administration follows over a simple constructed administration mask and allows visually planned content. Through intuitive handling the training expenditure is relatively small and projects can be realised within shortest time. The players get their content either by a pen drive or directly via the network. This solution can be enlarged by several plugins.

screebFOOD Client-Server (CS)

Full flexibility in the area of administration and the use of display devices

screenFOOD SC can be controlled completely via a web browser from any desired location. The only requirement is an Internet connection. Displays can be placed at any desired location as well; just an Internet connection is required.

The administration can take place by different users. A comprehensive right management allows the definition of different roles for the control: system administrators can access all functions and editors for example can just supervise definite sections.

The solution is conducted within the ASP model. The content management server stands at PC-WARE Systems AG in Sursee. Within this data processing centre complete server infrastructures from namable companies in the ASP and outsourcing model are operated. Obversely the required service structure for the operation is available as well. Read more in the chapter “Project-oriented aspects”. For customers this means primarily: No own server, which has to be supervised, is needed.

Also screenFOOD CS can be enlarged by several plugins. Beside timing and TV functionalities an animation factory and buildings are available.
