PC-WARE Implements a Generation Change in Leadership
Dr. Knut Löschke, CEO of PC-Ware Information Technologies AG, and Dr. Tillmann Blaschke, CFO, are stepping down from office. As of today, the Supervisory Board has appointed three new members to the new Management Board.
Dr. Klaus Elsbacher is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PC-WARE with immediate effect. His main area of responsibility is in the field of Sales and Communication. Hansjörg Egger is taking over the function of Chief Operation Officer (COO) and will be responsible among other things for organisational management. Both executives are connected with the PC-WARE Group.: Dr. Klaus Elsbacher, as CEO successfully oversaw the Comparex Central Europe and Iberia. Hansjörg Egger acted as General Manager of the PC-WARE subsidiary Datacontact in Austria until 2008. Together with Dr. Thomas Reich, who was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), they will align the company for future challenges.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank the former members of the Management Board for their committed contribution to the PC-WARE Group and in particular Dr. Knut Löschke for his valued service in establishing the company. Dr. Löschke will continue to act in an advisory capacity on behalf of the Raiffeisen Informatik Group“, thanked Mag. Wilfried Pruschak, Chairman of the PC-WARE's Supervisory Board. Dr. Löschke will still remain with the Raiffeisen Informatik Group in an advisory capacity.
"We have managed to win extremely experienced and committed Managers for the new PC-WARE Group's Management Board. They will develop the company further strategically", of this Mag. Wilfried Pruschak, Chairman of the Supervisory Board is convinced and continues further: "All three have many years experience in managing a technology company and have the very best requirements needed to develop PC-WARE further and to put it on the right track for future success."
The PC-WARE Supervisory Board is convinced that placing greater emphasis and a clearer segmenting of the business fields Value- and Volume Business, represents the basis of the economic success. Moreover, the Supervisory Board and Raiffeisen Informatik are expecting a stronger concentration on sales in the business field of IT Operations. "We should achieve implementation of these new strategies through appropriate objective targets and structural adjustments", says Pruschak.
PC-WARE's Business Year
PC-WARE succeeded in maintaining its growth momentum during the 2008/9 financial year. Operating within a recessionary environment, preliminary figures point to significant growth in Group revenue by 14.7% to EUR 890.3 million. The trend towards a higher proportion of Microsoft Enterprise Agreements – a type of contractual agreement that contributes to the overall volume of business but does not involve revenues being recognised and reported by the Group – continued, as a result of which PC-WARE recorded business volume of around EUR 1.1 billion (+16.3% y.o.y.) and thus succeeded in further extending its strong market position in Europe.
