PC-WARE wins the EU tender of the German Federal government
The IT Service Provider PC-WARE wins the Pan-European tender of the Procurement Office of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior. As announced today by the Procurement Office, PC-WARE thus is the confirmed Select trading partner for the next two to three years. The contract regulates the Microsoft software licensing procurement according to public procurement law for the entire federal administration with a volume of € 30-50 million per year.
The Procurement Office of the Federal Ministry of the Interior is the federal government’s second largest purchaser of products and services with a total volume of around € 611 million.
The reconfirmation of the Pan-European operating IT Service Provider PC-WARE as Select trading partner, now enables every federal institution to buy IT services through a basic agreement. PC-WARE will offer the federal authorities its entire range of Microsoft services.
“Through this decision, the Procurement Office has acknowledged the good experience with our company. The reappointment as Select trading partner indicates and strengthens our exposed role as partner and service provider not only in Germany’s federal administration, but also throughout Europe”, explained Markus Kirchner, Director Software Sales & Licensing PC-WARE.
For a long time, PC-WARE has been an established and competent IT partner in the public service. Over one third of PC-WARE’s sales in Germany are with more than 18,000 customers of public administrations at federal, state and communal level.
After signing the contract today in Bonn, Roderich Egeler, Director of the Procurement Office, said: “This is the second time that PC-WARE has won the tender as Select trading partner. This contract will generate a positive effect on the entire federal administration, and I look forward to continuing our excellent and proven cooperation.”
