Oliver Schalch appointed new COO of Swiss
PC-WARE subsidiary Bison Systems AG
Teaming up with Karl Hoppler (CEO), Oliver Schalch will assume responsibility for the operational activities of PC-WARE's Swiss subsidiary effective from 19 June 2006. He replaces Thomas Karchow, who will be focusing on a new range of duties at Group level.
"We are delighted to have secured the services of such a skilled and experienced professional. There is no doubt that we will benefit enormously from Oliver Schalch's expertise and proven track record, particularly when it comes to optimising our operations and internal process," said Dr. Knut Löschke, CEO of PC-WARE AG.
In his new role, Oliver Schalch will be accountable for the full range of reselling and service activities of Bison Systems AG.
"I consider market presence and reliability, complemented by innovatory prowess, to be the key ingredients for outstanding solutions. We shall continue to pursue this successful approach at Bison. Indeed, our highly attractive mobility solutions as well as our strong market position in Basel and Bern serve as evidence of our commitment within this area. I look forward to working with such a high-calibre team here at Bison Systems AG," said Oliver Schalch.
Prior to his move to Bison, Oliver Schalch held the position of Head of Business Consulting at T-Systems AG in Zollikofen. His responsibilities included strategic project management and process optimisation within the areas of Systems Integration and Computing Services. He also has many years of experience in consulting, having worked as a manager at Detecon Schweiz AG and PricewaterhouseCoopers Basel.
Mr. Schalch is the successor to Thomas Karchow, who will be focusing on new responsibilities at Group level. "We achieved a number of key strategic milestones under the management of Thomas Karchow. He directed the successful expansion of our branch in Bern as well as our start-up in Basel, the restructuring of our sales organisation and the introduction of new product lines such as Altiris and Fujitsu-Siemens," said Karl Hoppler, CEO of Bison Systems AG.
