Solution Design and Data Profiling
Once suitable technologies and software have been selected, PC-WARE designs the architecture and database (Data Warehouse) or Data Marts (defined data groups for special reports).
The next step is to design processes for loading data into the warehouse, which involves cleansing and consolidating data from various sources. It is often the case that source files cannot actually be used because they contain duplicates, errors or are incomplete. PC-WARE will, of course, analyse your source files and identify any possible problem areas (Data Profiling).
Working closely with you, we will define the points that should be checked, and agree on aspects such as what exactly constitutes an error etc. In addition, we have to define how data from different systems should be combined. Only then will the cleansed data be loaded into your new Data Warehouse.
