Nr. 11 - Storage & Security
The increasing flow of e-mails and other kinds of information exchanges demands a high rate of structuring. Besides, a lot of this information is confidential, and may not be read by third parties. In this Awareness you can read about getting control on these situations. Due to the presentation of 2 business cases in the magazine, the essences of the problems are being explained. Also, PC-WARE specialists will provide their vision on this interesting subject.

Nr. 10 - Samenwerken (Working together)
The cooperation/collaboration of a company with its customers as well as the internal collaboration between employees plays an important role in the success of an organisation. Within PC-WARE much value is given towards the balance between teamwork, terms of employment, personal achievements and the atmosphere at work. To come to optimal collaboration, technical solutions like Microsoft SharePoint are being used. With these solutions, the exchange and availability of documents which are being used within the entire organization is simplified. Nr. 9 - Mobiliteit (Mobility)
In our society, communication is essential. Between countries, cultures, companies and above all: people. Unfortunately, miscommunication happens regularly. Proverbial is the relation between employees who speak "jargonese" and - quite common - their internal customers: the colleague who wants to use his home office PC. Which is a pity, since working from home (or mobility in general) could be an answer to the overloaded infrastructure in the Netherlands, among other things. Nr. 8 - Data Integriteit (Data Integritity)
The role of information and communication technology in our society is constantly increasing. In everyday life, we have to deal with the integrity of data that we exchange. Integrity doesn't only mean that the data are unchanged, but also that the sender is the one he claims to be. In this Awareness magazine we will go more into detail on this matter.

Nr. 7 - Productiviteit (Productivity)
It is less than 100 years ago that employees were manual laborours. Of those days we still know the "old crafts". The introduction of industries and machines constantly caused improved production per employee. At the same time this meant that companies could do with less personnel. More production - a higher productivity. In automation industry this the same rule applies. How you can increase productivity, you can read in this edition of our Awareness magazine.

Nr. 6 - Virtualisatie (Virtualisation)
The expression "virtual world" is often used. Futuristic live and work environments - a kind of 'Living Tomorrow." In this Awareness magazine we follow a realistic approach. We focus on pratical, everyday solutions to acchieve one or more goals, like cost reductions by means of virtualisation in the ICT environment.

Nr. 5 - Compliance/IT-Governance
In the previous edition of our Awareness magazine - Beheer (Management) - the importance of proper management of your ICT environment was discussed. In the last couple of years, this topic has been discussed by several interest groups. In the meantime, the greater part of the rules are clear. The question is: do we have to see these rules as a chance or threat? By using existing techniques and methods, we can get better understanding of our ICT environment. Nr. 4 - Beheer (Management)
Often called the problem child of your organisation, management is essential is for a proper operational management. More focussed on ICT, we can read 'management' in many different ways. The new Awareness magazine examines the different meanings of management. In addition, the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation is discussed.

Nr. 3 - Mobiliteit (Mobility)
Users are getting more and more mobile, which has clear impact in both technical and software aspects. Information needs to be available everywhere and at all times for the right users. Files need to be shared, systems need to be technically monitored (remotely). Aspects like the management of licenses and and environmental aspects like traffic jams and flexible working hours have a strong relationship with the mobile worker. This is the main topic of the 3rd edition of the Awareness Magazine 'Mobiliteit'.

Nr. 2 - Consolidatie (Consolidation)
The second edition is dedicated to the Consolidation theme. In a world where cost is an important issue, efficient use of resources (employees as well as other resources) is crucial. More and more equipment causes for a challenge for the IT-manager. Consolidation is a very wide term, and in our magazine we have paid attention to multiple aspects of consolidation. Among others, articles are written about server consolidation, user consolidation and data consolidation. There is also attention to the 20th anniversary of PC-WARE in the Netherlands. As an extra service, we have developed a very convenient license poster, which contains the volume licensing programs of the most important software vendors.

Nr. 1 - Security
In this first edition of the Awareness Magazins, we focussed on the subject of 'Security'. A topic that deserves more attention. Still not all organisations are are convinced about the importance of securing their own information (and the information of their customers). On the other hand, security in general is put higher on the agenda.
