PC-WARE aims for a better recognition of the term ´SaaS´!
SaaS, Hosting, ASP, SOA, SPLA…the magazines are full of it. However: 75 % of the ICT-decision-makers doesn’t directly know the meaning of SaaS, and where these software services can make the difference. These are the results of a research from Heliview. PC-WARE aims for a better recognition of the term ´SaaS´!
SaaS (Software as a Service) is a service where companies procure licenses through a ´pay-per-use´ system. Advantages are: total compliancy, lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), flexibility in the amount of users and furthermore no investment costs.
Since 2006, PC-WARE is a SPLA-Reseller. SPLA (Service Provider Licence Agreement) is the SaaS-solution from Microsoft, where PC-WARE offers companies the possibility to enlighten the working processes from their customers that are related to software implementations, project management problems, upgrades and updates. PC-WARE is one of the three SPLA-Resellers which can intervene as a fulfillment partner between Microsoft and the hosting company.
Thang Tran, Manager Business Line Hosting Western Europe, is an expert on the traditional way of registrations of contract forms and user rights for many years. “Due to our experience with end-users we have decided to implement SaaS-developments strategically in our business. SPLA (a SaaS contract form) helps end-users to fill in their core activity in financial and operational matters more efficient and flexible. In other words: SaaS can create a competitive advantage for them within their branches”, says Tran.
Besides the official Microsoft SPLA-Reseller level, even more companies are contacting PC-WARE to launch their specific SaaS-solutions in the market. A lot of suppliers will follow Microsoft in its way and introduce their own SaaS-solution.
