PC–WARE establishes subsidiary in Romania
Leipzig/Vienna/Bucharest 30/06/06 - PC-WARE AG will be continuing its strategy of international expansion by establishing a subsidiary in Bucharest. As the company announced at its annual results press conference in Frankfurt am Main, PC-WARE will be represented in the largest country of South-East Europe as of 1 July 2006, thus further cementing its market position as the leading European IT service provider in Central and Eastern Europe.
"In establishing a branch office in Bucharest, we have responded to growing demand from customers for cross-border agreements and IT services, particularly within the area of banking, insurance and manufacturing," said Dr. Knut Löschke, CEO of PC-WARE AG.
Owing to its recent acquisition of Czech-based Digitrade, PC-WARE has already been able to establish a vital bridgehead for further expansion into the north-east of Europe. The Group's subsidiary in Austria, Datacontact, will direct marketing efforts in the south-eastern region of the European continent. The company considers geographical proximity to customers and the establishment of recognised PC-WARE Group quality standards in the Eastern European regions to be major competitive advantages.
"Thanks to our specialist expertise and superior quality standards, we can provide international customers with high-class services right on their doorstep. It goes without saying that we are also committed to attracting new customers and serving them well into the future. We shall also benefit from our close rapport with major software and hardware manufacturers, with whom initial projects are already being implemented," commented Marcus Dekan, the manager responsible for business development in South-East Europe.
Alongside the extension of its service portfolio in Europe's core markets, PC-WARE's strategic goal is to drive growth in other regions. "We have established initial structures in Eastern Europe and Asia, providing us with a base from which to monitor local market progression and position ourselves rapidly in response to customer demand. With extensive cash to draw on, we have sufficient room to manoeuvre when it comes to seizing additional growth opportunities. Within this context, our plan is to gain forward momentum through the carefully planned establishment of small structures rather than large-scale acquisitions," said Dr. Tillmann Blaschke, CFO of PC-WARE AG.
