Under the terms of an immediate capital increase by PC-WARE, Raiffeisen Informatik GmbH has undertaken to inject up to EUR 36 million into the German firm via its subsidiary “PERUNI” Holding GmbH. It has agreed to purchase all the new shares not taken up by existing shareholders at a price of EUR 16.50 per no-par-value share. PC-WARE recorded another successful start to the new financial year, propelling first-quarter EBITDA by 41.4% year on year to EUR 4.0 million. At the same time, sales revenue developed extremely well, climbing by 41.2% to EUR 231.0 million. Both figures mark new records for the company and bear testimony to the dynamic rate at which PC-WARE's business has developed since its inception. Furthermore, the latest financial data shows that there was no significant contraction of the market in which the Group operates. Although the current climate is being closely monitored by PC-WARE's management team, the company will not be deterred by the gradual emergence of pessimism within the economic arena.
PC-WARE, one of Europe's leading full-service ICT providers, again succeeded in maintaining its forward momentum during the 2007/08 financial year. The trend towards a higher percentage share of direct Microsoft Enterprise Agreements – a type of contractual agreement that contributes to the overall volume of business but does not involve revenues being recognised and reported by the Group – became more pronounced, as a result of which PC-WARE recorded a business volume equivalent to approx. EUR 960 million. Compared with the previous financial year, this corresponds to growth of 17.7% in 2007/08.
PC-WARE has set a new record in both sales and earnings for the first nine months of its current financial year. As on previous occasions, business towards the end of the calendar year, which is generally considered a buoyant period for the IT industry, provided growth impetus for the first nine months, lifting sales revenue by 6.8% year on year to EUR 592.4 million.
